There have been recent talks of shortening the famous Belgian circuit, the official spokesperson for the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, Luc Willems, denied this to the Dutch website ‘f1today.nl’. Willems declared: “Spa has always been an unique circuit and that is not going to change.”

Though this seems like a denial, he never said the circuit was not going to change, merely that it will remain unique..
