Alonso takes suprising victory at the Singapore GP
Fernando Alonso came from 15th on the grid to take victory at the inaugaral Singaporean Grand Prix. In a race that can be described as one of the worse ever for Ferrari, Alonso overcame the bad luck that he experienced in qualifying to take what was a very popular victory.
Nico Rosberg recovered from a stop go penalty to take a remarkable second place for Williams, with Lewis Hamilton extending his championship lead in third place as Felipe Massa finished outside the points after a dramatic pitstop incident.
