Technology that make your drive safer

It is no secret that Google has been testing a self-driving Prius for years in the Silicon Valley in California.  The U.S. Department of Defense has been researching an autonomous vehicle for years.  According to some reports, the State of Nevada issued a license to Volkswagen’s Audi unit allowing the testing of self-driving vehicle on that state’s roads.  Technology including keeping a distance from the vehicle in front of you, alarms that inform the driver of sudden lane changes or dozing on the wheel and vehicles that automatically apply breaks when you get too close to the vehicle in front of you that make your drive safer are already in place for many newer vehicles.

Toyota, the Asia’s largest automaker is reportedly trying out new technology in its Higashi-Fuji technical center in Japan to avoid accidents.  It is testing a modified Lexus LS fitted with new technology equipped with sensors and automated systems to improve driver skills and experience.  The system will act as a virtual co-pilot rather than self-driving cars that Google is testing.  The car was in display at the technology event that is going on in Las Vegas.  Toyota says it is concentrating on improving driver experience rather than a self-driving vehicle.
