New class of luxury compact SUVs from Lexus for 2015

Lexus is introducing its NX series for active compact crossover enthusiasts for 2015. NX 200, NX 200t and NX 300h are geared for young, urban and new breed of luxury vehicle loving drivers. The 2015 NXs come with enough driving power and all the comfort you expect from a luxury SUV.

The gas-electric NX 300h hybrid contains 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine, generator, motor and battery. The 2.0-liter turbo engine in NX 200t has been tested over million kilometers. This direct injection turbo engine come with world’s first combined cylinder head and integrated water-cooled exhaust manifold. It can hit 0 to 60 mph in seven seconds and according to Lexus deliver 22/28/24 city/highway/combined miles per gallon. Unfortunately, it requires premium gasoline.

When announced in April 2014, many expected the NX to compete with entry level luxury SUVs. However, Lexus expect it to compete with BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes Benz GLK. Its exterior is more nimble and instills agility in onlookers. Seventeen-inch alloy wheels are standard; however, one can get it in 18s as an option. The roof-line that peak towards the rear provides much needed headroom inside the vehicle. NX carry Lexus “L” shaped LED lights in the rear.
