Ford Taurus

Two decades ago, the Chicago built Taurus was the best-selling sedan in the U.S.  Since that time, Taurus lost its vigor and started to come back around 2010.  The 2013 Taurus gives a fresh look for the sedan.

The 3.5-liter, six speed automatic transmission comes with an optional all-wheel drive (AWD) giving 18 city, 26 highway and 21 combined miles per gallon.  It is a big car with good mpg.  Its standard features include automatic disc brakes, front side and side curtain air bags, and blind spot warning mirrors.  The sedan comes with automatic parallel parking feature.  The electric power steering is light and responsive.  If you are looking for an AWD, it will keep you planted to the street with easy cornering.  The NHTSA has rated it with five stars for overall performance and it is an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

The interior provides the driver with surround dash and center console.  The rear seat provides comfortable seating for two.  The flush interior provides soft-touch materials.  The cabin is quiet compared to previous Taurus.  Some new Taurus owner may find the MyFord Touch entertainment/communication interface is not that impressive.  But the stylish sedan is a big come back for Ford Motor Company.
